Our Community Grows!
With all that is of concern in your world today, it is exciting to know more people now have the opportunity to plug into a Mars Hill community group. The Olympia Campus just opened two more community groups for the purpose of allowing more people to connect and grow authentic relationships with God, their brothers and sisters, and their neighbors.
The downtown Olympia group is led by Jeremy Echols, a member of the Acts 29 Pastor’s Training Program. The group meets in the apartment where Kyle and Crystal will live after they become the Olympia Campus’ first married couple. Join them Sunday nights, beginning with dessert at 6:30 pm. The address is 500 Eastside St. NE Apt. 2, Olympia. Jeremy’s contact information is E-mail jeremydavisechols@gmail.com, Phone: (706) 207-1838.
The Lakewood group is led by Deacon Kimball Parker in the home of Chuck and Debbie Mathews. They begin with dinner on Wednesdays at 5:30 pm. The address is 11226 92nd Ave Ct SW, Lakewood, WA 98498. To contact with Kimball Parker try his E-mail address: kimballp@comcast.net , or his cell phone (360) 791-3005. This group had 10 people their first night, so be sure to connect soon before it fills up.
Pastor Mark Driscoll has spoken about the air war and the group war. The local community group is vital in the ground war against the forces of evil and providing the support you need to face the challenges that come your way. We are continuing to train other men to lead community groups. Our strategy is to raise up the leaders God brings to shepherd people in our communities. Currently, we have an immediate need for more host homes in the Olympia, Tumwater, and Lacey areas. Please join us in asking God for these hosts so more people have the opportunity to experience growth in authentic relationships with one another.
Sincerely,
Deacon Bruce Ensign
